‘It scared me’: Jill Biden says she thought Joe Biden was having a stroke during 2024 debate

Jill Biden is sharing her thoughts on her and her husband’s time in the White House, including the run-up to the latest presidential election.

The former first lady sat down with CBS for an interview that is scheduled to be seen in its entirety on Sunday.

One of the subjects that was touched on was Joe Biden’s 2024 presidential debate performance.

“As I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh, my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death,” Jill Biden is quoted as saying in the interview.

She went on to say she was frightened by what she was seeing that night, as she had never seen her husband act like that before or after the event.

Joe Biden’s questionable debate performance caused many Democratic leaders to panic about his ability to lead the party at age 81 against the Republicans and Donald Trump.

Joe Biden was running for a second term when he seemingly stumbled through some of his answers and appeared to stop mid-sentence when debating Trump on stage in that June 2024 appearance.

The 46th President of the United States ended up dropping out of the presidential race about a month after the debate, endorsing then-Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.

Joe Biden has only made a select few public appearances since leaving office. Last year, his representatives announced the former president was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer at the age of 82.

“Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support,” Joe Biden shared on social media at the time.

Joe Biden’s political career spans over five decades, culminating in becoming the U.S. president in 2021.

According to CBS, Jill Biden’s interview will also cover the release of her new book, “View from the East Wing: A Memoir,” which is due out June 2.

Man accused of punk rocker’s death in 1993 captured after decades on the run

Authorities arrested a Detroit man accused of murder who has been on the run for more than three decades.

Richard Werstine, also known as Joseph Alan Stavros, 56, was taken into custody in Panama last month, the U.S. Marshals Service announced.

Werstine was wanted for the Sept. 15, 1993, murder of his roommate, Rodney Barger, 23, who was the lead singer of the punk rock band Cold as Life.

On April 29, authorities in Panama City arrested Werstine at an area dog park. The 56-year-old was in possession of fraudulent identification. Investigators said fingerprint analysis identified him as a wanted fugitive.

“The U.S. Marshals Service takes crimes of this nature extremely seriously, given the violent nature of the alleged offense and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution,” Owen Cypher, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Michigan, said.

According to the U.S. Marshals, Werstine confessed to his true identity and being on the run, along with admitting to entering Panama illegally in 2005 while never obtaining legal status.

On Saturday, deputies said they traveled to Panama and worked with agents to have Werstine returned to the U.S.

The Marshals Service noted that Werstine was initially arrested by Detroit police in 1993 for Barger’s murder, but he failed to appear for the trial. In June 1994, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Authorities said Werstine had been arrested multiple times over the years, but was evading capture while using different aliases until he was finally tracked down in Panama City.

“The dedication of all members of my staff who spearheaded the arrest of this fugitive, who has been on the run for over 30 years, is a testimony to their resolve,” Cypher said. “It sends a message to fugitives that there is no place you can hide that the U.S. Marshals Service won’t find you and bring you to justice.”

Bank of America agrees to pay $2.25 million in ATM fee lawsuit case

Bank of America customers may be eligible to receive money after a reported million-dollar settlement was reached over excessive fees being charged.

According to a class-action lawsuit filed in California, the bank improperly charged out-of-network balance inquiry fees to customers who used FCTI-owned ATMs located in 7-Eleven stores from May 1, 2018, to Nov. 16, 2021.

The settlement website states that a $2.25 million settlement has been reached in the case, with the court scheduled to hold a final fairness hearing on Aug. 21.

Current Bank of America customers do not need to take any action to receive compensation if the settlement receives final court approval, as payments will be automatically issued, according to the settlement website.

Former customers would need to file a claim form by July 29 to receive their share of the settlement fund.

Bank of America customers who are not sure whether they qualify, or if they would like more information, have been advised to contact 833-447-8321.

Bank of America has denied any wrongdoing in the case, agreeing to a settlement in part to avoid ongoing litigation costs.

Emmy-winning actress Jaime Pressly joins OnlyFans, reports say

An Emmy-winning actress has reportedly joined OnlyFans.

According to multiple reports, Jaime Pressly is the latest Hollywood star to create an account on the adult-only platform.

“OnlyFans gives me a space to create what I want, how I want, and share it directly with the people who’ve supported me for years,” People quoted Pressly in an interview.

The actress’ page was said to have launched on Thursday afternoon.

Andy Bachman, CEO of Creators Inc., reportedly helped consult Pressly on her move to OnlyFans.

“She’s an elite entertainer, and fans are going to love what she creates here,” Variety quoted Bachman when asked about Pressly.

Just last month, fellow Hollywood actress Shannon Elizabeth also launched her own OnlyFans profile, where she allegedly pulled in more than $1.2 million in the first week.

Pressly is best known for her sitcom roles, including NBC’s “My Name Is Earl,” where she won an Emmy for outstanding actress in a comedy series, and CBS’s “Mom”, earning her a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination.

‘Remembered as a hero’: State trooper killed in wrong-way crash minutes after shift ended

Massachusetts authorities are mourning the loss of a trooper who was killed in a wrong-way crash Wednesday morning.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, Trooper Kevin Trainor, 30, was just ending his shift around 2 a.m. when he heard the call for a wrong-way driver on Route 1.

Just about a minute later, while troopers were already responding, the wrong-way vehicle collided with Trainor’s police cruiser.

Massachusetts authorities said Trainor was rushed to the hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.

“While nothing will ever repair the pain we feel today, we make a solemn promise to never forget Trooper Trainor and his service to the Commonwealth,” the Massachusetts State Police shared in a social media post.

Trainor was said to be with the agency for three years, while previously serving as a corrections officer in Essex County.

Fellow law enforcement members remembered Trainor for his professionalism and caring for others.

“He was the guy you wanted as your backup,” a former classmate of Trainor shared.

Massachusetts State Police Colonel Geoffrey Noble added that Trainor died protecting others.

“Trooper Trainor saved lives this morning. His courage, his commitment to serve the citizens of the Commonwealth and put his life on the line, prevented an even greater tragedy,” Noble said. “He will be remembered as a hero.”

Trainor leaves behind loved ones, including a fiancée.

Massachusetts authorities have thanked the community for the outpouring of support they have received while they honor Trainor.
