A Burger King customer in the Houston area is accused of assaulting a fast food employee over being charged for a drink.
According to the Houston Police Department, the incident occurred on June 24 at a Burger King located in the 2100 block of Holcombe Boulevard.
Houston police said the customer in question walked up to the counter and asked the worker for a drink cup.
When the employee attempted to charge the man for the drink, he became upset about paying for it and walked behind the counter to grab a cup of his own.
The employee tried to stop him, but that’s when he assaulted her by hitting her in the face, police said.
Houston police shared surveillance footage from the Burger King restaurant that captured the reported incident on video.
The man took off from the scene after what happened.
Police described the man as being 35 to 50 years old, about 5-foot-11, weighing 150 to 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt and shorts with white shoes.
