Chad McQueen, the son of the legendary actor Steve McQueen, has died.

Multiple outlets reported that Chad McQueen died Wednesday in Palm Springs at the age of 63.

Variety reported his wife Jeanie and children confirmed his death.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father, Chad McQueen. His remarkable journey as a loving father to us, along with his unwavering commitment to our mother, truly exemplified a life filled with love and dedication,” a family statement read.

Anaheim police shared that a man collapsed after crossing the finish line Sunday morning at Disneyland’s Halloween Half Marathon.

Memphis, Tenn.

A man has died after reportedly getting stung by a wasp and developing an allergic reaction.

WREG reports that Matt Johnson, 40, developed an allergy to wasp stings as an adult and got his latest sting when he accidentally disturbed a wasp nest last week.

His friend Patrick Wredling shared that Johnson was with another friend checking hunting gear when the nest was disturbed.

“They were out in the middle of nowhere; they were trying to get to meet the ambulance, and they did find them, thankfully, but I think he was unconscious when he got into the ambulance,” Wredling shared.

According to Johnson’s friend he always carried his EpiPen, and he used it that day before calling 911.

But the 40-year-old did not survive.

“Matt was loved by so many people as he had a huge heart and made friends with anyone he met. His personality would light up a room,” Wredling wrote in a GoFundMe set up for the family.

Wredling said that Johnson was a husband, brother, son and he was about to welcome a baby boy, who was due within a few weeks.

“He was the best father,” he shared.

Wredling said that he has known Johnson since they were children and has started fundraising efforts with their families to help in their time of need.

“We are setting up this GoFundMe to raise money for the boys’ future big purchases such as their first car, college, etc.,” he wrote. “We appreciate it and 100% will go to Ashton [Johnson’s wife] and the boys.”

Wredling said Johnson was a man of faith and family and friends will be celebrating his life after the baby is born.
