The White House says Erika Kirk will be attending Tuesday’s State of the Union address as President Donald Trump’s guest.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk will be on Trump’s special guest list.

“The president will call on Congress to ‘firmly reject political violence against our fellow citizens’ with Charlie Kirk’s widow in the chamber,” Leavitt said.

Trump spoke at Charlie Kirk’s Arizona memorial service, where Erika Kirk and others remembered the conservative activist who was assassinated last year while speaking at a Utah university.

Trump is expected to address immigration crackdowns, his push to preserve widespread tariffs and his ability to direct military actions around the world in his address to the nation on Tuesday.

Leavitt said the president will also address the cost-of-living concerns many Americans continue to face, while also looking ahead as America celebrates 250 years of its independence.

Trump’s speech is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. EST.
